Some days ago I finished reading Ore no Imouto, the light novel (original story). I saw the first season longer ago (and some episodes from the second) and I really wanted to know the original story and of course, the end.
Ehh~ Oreimo is about the siblings Kirino and Kyousuke Kousaka. They didn't speak to each other for a very long time. But this condition changes suddenly after one day.
After going shopping, Kirino comes back home. Kyousuke runs into her and she drops something like a DVD case at the floor. Kyousuke finds it and is surprised - it turns out to be an little sister eroge! He is very confused ... he didn't expect that his younger sister plays this kind of games.
In the night he awakes because his sister wakes him- she sits on his body and asks him to get some 'life counseling'. In this night she shows him her secret. She is an otaku who loves little sisters. She wants him to understand her hobby and shows him that she wants to keep this a secret to their parents, because their dad wouldn't allow her work as a model anymore. The next day their dad finds out about the little sister eroge and wants to know to whom it belongs. He doesn't really tolerate it and so Kyousuke decides to tell him that it is his.
He helps Kirino to protect her secret in this situation but her behaviour towards Kyousuke doesn't really change because of this. They ignore each other like before until Kirino wants another 'life counseling' with Kyousuke.
Step by step their relationship changes and that is the really interesting point in this story.
It's good written and you can really empathize it. I have to say that it is much better than the anime. You get more information about the characters which are really interesting and so much deeper.
The structure of the story is more logical than in the anime and after reading it I just say 'Why did they change this in the anime?'.
You can read this novel in the internet in English (BakaTsuki) or buy the japanese original in the www. I read it in English because my Japanese is really bad. (I have to learn again ... and more...)
I would really like it to get published in English~ I would definitely buy it! (°7°)b
Please give it a try and have fun reading it. :3
